Design it Clean
For this project, we had to build a filter that filtered out a specific thing for our group. Being Canada, we had to filter out E-coli from animals.
Our filter was made out of a house plant, cloth, sand, and charcoal. Here is a link to my groups area description and product description. CANADA CREW!!! |

Snow science is relevant to my life because I ski in the winter. I learned a lot about how the drought has affected surrounding areas. Specifically, the fact that the Colorado River no longer reaches Mexico. This is mostly because the water being used in states before the coast.
A major skill I learned in this project was picking up the ability to analyze graphs. I learned how to read and use a topographical map. Also, I learned how to form a test of which I could also come up with a hypothesis for. I picked up this skill while created a flour avalanche.
I just wish there was enough snow to do some actual fieldwork.
One thing that I really liked about this project was building a flour avalanche. I thought that it was pretty cool to see how an avalanche 'works' firsthand without actually being in one. Something that I didn't really enjoy/would change would be the final part--creating a poster or alternative explanation board on avalanches. This is because I thought that we could share avalanche knowledge in a more productive way than with peers who were in class with us while learning everything we did.
